Two years ago I shared a thank you note from a student in Chi Alpha named Taylor. You can read it here. I thought it would be neat to share what Taylor has been up to these past two years.
Taylor came into college dead set on pursuing law and politics. He got involved in Chi Alpha and became a student leader (which he thought would look good on a law school application). His heart for discipleship grew each year of college. So much so, that he began dropping other extracurricular activities to focus more on making disciples. His senior year he applied for law school at Ole Miss with somewhat low expectations because he had dropped many of the usual "application building" activities his peers had pursued, to have more time to share the gospel with them.
To Taylor's surprise not only did he get into the University of Mississippi School of Law but he also received a full scholarship! He is currently finishing up his first semester in law school and has led a small group for law students with an average attendance of eight students with at least one or two new people each week. Taylor is wanting to focus on international law and is praying about using his degree as a launching pad for world missions. Taylor is also faithfully serving at The Branch Church here in Oxford.
Thank you for helping put a gospel witness in one of the most influential institutions in the state of Mississippi, the University of Mississippi School of Law.
2 Timothy 2:2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.
